The mission of NETMWD is to protect the water quality in the Cypress Basin and to provide a sufficient supply of water to Northeast Texas. To read our full mission statement please navigate to the "About Us" page.

If you would like an easy way to keep informed about or participate in Water Quality activities in the Cypress Basin we encourage you to become a Stakeholder in our Clean Rivers Program. 

If you would like to sign up, go to the "Send us a Message" section at the bottom of any page, select the CRP Stakeholder sign up option under Department and send us an email.

SOURCE WATER PROTECTION PROGRAM

NOTICE: NETMWD has Source Water Assessment and Protection survey personnel in the area around Lake O' the Pines.

Contractor's for TCEQ are in the area for the next couple of weeks doing a survey to help us better understand our watershed. There is a picture on our home page of the crew and the vehicle they are in as well as a press release below.

NEW VIDEO ALERT!

The Northeast Texas Municipal Water District volunarily releases waters out of Lake O the Pines for the environment. Through a partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, The Caddo Lake Institute, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and The Nature Conservancy in Texas, the effects these releases are having on the habitat and the aquatic organisms in the system are monitored frequently.
